We’re proud to share that Byron Brinkley, a LEAD Ambassador alum, has officially become an officer for the Douglasville Police Department! Byron represents the second LEAD Ambassador alum who has played in the Safe At Home Game and is now serving in law enforcement.
Byron’s journey is a testament to the power of leadership and perseverance. A graduate of Maynard Jackson High School, Byron excelled as a LEAD Ambassador and continued to thrive academically, earning his degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Georgia Gwinnett College in 2023. His commitment to growth, service, and community engagement has solidified his place as a Major League Citizen—gainfully employed, civically engaged, and a radical philanthropist.
The Safe At Home Game has played an integral role in inspiring and building leadership within our community, and Byron’s story is one of many examples of its impact. As we look ahead to 2025, we invite you to join us for the 11th Annual Safe At Home Game on August 26, 2025. This event has become an Atlanta tradition, bringing together hope, leadership, and transformation.
Congratulations to Officer Byron Brinkley for reaching this incredible milestone! He embodies the mission of LEAD, and we are excited to see him continue to make a positive difference in his community.
We’ll see you on the field in 2025 as we celebrate another year of inspiring young leaders and building a legacy of excellence!
